18 km out of Bodrum, and you reach a picturesque village called Gundogan or Farilya which both mean 'sunrise'. Here you can climb up 52 stairs to an ancient monastry, explore the rock tombs and caves, visit the Rabbit Island to see the 6th century Byzantine church and admire its wall paintings.
