Situated midway on the road from Bodrum to Turgutreis is Ortakent where Romans, Byzantians and Ottomans settled in succession. Here you can see the ruins of a church where Bishop Episcopes one resided and planted there the first Muscat vines. "Asiklar Koyu" (The Lovers' Bay) with the longest beach in the peninsula is ideal for long walks, swimming, windsurfing and obviously romance.
